Hi there, I am really worn out, I had quite a day and when I was on my way home I got a surprise ... my car just broke down and then I called a tow truck to remove my car from the street...that´s why I am being very short. But I promisse to make it up to you in the future posts.
- quite a day: um dia e tanto
- on my way home: a caminho de casa
- tow truck: caminhão guincho ou simplesmente guincho(to tow= guinchar)
- make it up to: compensar

Uma curiosidade: Eu posso sempre usar I get, I got quando quiser dizer "eu tenho, eu tive" dispensando o verbo TO HAVE?

The meaning of the phrase:
Make it up to = compensar, retribuir algo a alguém,(em compensação).
Ex.: There are few posts of slangs and idiomatics expressions but I will make it up to you by writing a special post about that.
